Way Past "King Me"

My six year old has become fascinated with checkers lately, and I've noticed that there is this moment in each game where it goes from being fun and interesting to the sudden realization that there aren't any real moves left and someone is going to get decimated.
I'm guessing they feel like that at Microsoft and Yahoo today. Google probably feels pretty good.
